  • Ehh. That wasn't fun! haha No power for two weeks. It got so hot a few nights we slept on the porch.

  • @Beatlefanone : Ha, ya~ I slept on my porch one hot night without power too. Let's hope we never get another one of those!

  • You don't want to live through a real hurricane!

  • I agree! What was weird for us is that we're in the center of the country and we still had hurricane level gusts, something we've never experienced here. My heart really goes out to those that really caught the brunt of this storm.

  • Dag!! I live in the Highlands, and E. Parkway didn't look half as bad as my street..

  • I had to go out the day after the storm to turn in my Gold Award project in on Lexington Rd. It was a mess! & it took us about an hour to get to the office!

  • Lived 2 blocks from there on Barrett Ave. Tons of damage on Cherokee Rd. We lost power for a week and a half and I was only about a mile from downtown!

  • I remember this. Then we had that crazy ice storm the next year. Now, there might be flooding, a lot of snow, and or freezing rain this week. Kentucky has the craziest weather.

  • Good time to drink.

  • I live in the Highlands, and we're ALWAYS the first to get hit.. I will NEVER forget all the trees and damage I saw..hearing trees snap; i'll never forget the chills I had from that day.. Fear I've never experienced before.

  • @NinerPoolGirl Used to go there all the time, and I live on Trevilian so it was just down the street, big bummer.

  • Natures way of trimming the trees.
