Anyone can become rich with Quixtar. It requires determination and the willingness to follow the 9-5-3 BIB protocol. Do not listen to people who do not even know the ABCD of this business. The internet is a place where nothing is positive. People even say Mother Teresa is a fraud and Jesus Christ never existed. You wouldn't believe that, would you?

"a billion dollar business"- which is declining and where only 3.4% of sales are to retail consumers (nonIBOs). An IBO attrition rate of 60%+ within 1 year & 96%+ after 5yrs. Doug, your prices suck, your compensation plan sucks & the AMO's your family have colluded with over 40 odd years suck even more. Amway/Quixtar sucks period. May the UK government shut you down and then other countries follow suit.

Maybe Quixtar is ethical, but they allow the support orgs to rob people blind. That is not ethical. In this video he hits on the point that the support org wants you to forget, you only get paid for PV generated and not "plugging in".

They have you so focused on buying tools that you forget to generate PV. Is it any wonder that nobody makes money...except the people that have created tool businesses?

I am a former sucker for this Quixstar/Amway gimmick. I am also a Christian. It took about 2 months for me to realize the sham that I was in. When I first started into the business I was taking to a function or IBO convention more or less that was over a 3 day period. Bill Britt was the host of the event and at the time they were pushing BWW (Britt World Wide). He stood up on Sunday morning and preached as a (non-ordained ) preacher saying God says its a sin to be poor. HOGWASH!!! BEWARE!!

@Phoenix38m Wow! Are you following Jesus or Amway? Read your post again & I hope you can pick up on that. Seems your a Christian, I think? Should we be more excited about a biz or Jesus? Whats more "good, lifesaving, life changing, worth shouting atop mount Sanai", Jesus or Amway? I was in that for 4 years & I was saved at one of their conferences (Sunday morning services) while Wintley Phipps preached. I then read it's wrong to covet (Bible). Amway is great not so much the CD's and Books.

Note to self:

1) Never go into a business that proselytizes a god/religion,

2) Never go into a business that comes to you, and keeps coming back over and over and over again until you buckle,

3) Never go into a business where you will need to pay $6 here for a seminar at a hotel, $12.95 there for a book that they "recommend" for you to read, $11 here for a motivational CD/tape for you listen to about someone's "upline" success story.

How does Quixtar exaggerate? I don't see any exaggeration, it all makes sense to me. As Doug De Vos stated "we offer a business opportunity for anybody, anywhere". The keyword is "opportunity", not a guarantee of some sorts. Otherwise, it's easy to exaggerate.

riazrick, yes I have heard of the BBB and DSA. And I know that Quixtar is "approved" by them. That is one of the first things they tell you at the meeting so you dont run like hell. But have you actually looked at the guidelines that they set on their website for businesses? Read through them and ask yourself how many Quixtar honestly fulfills. It says not to make exaggerations on income and not to mislead people and to run an ethical business. Sadly, Quixtar does not and flys under the radar.

They made 7 billion in profit at the end of 2008, as we watched Wall Street collapsed. Do you people know who the BBB or DSA is? Amway is a billion dollar corporation that has made more individual millionaires in the past 50 years. If you failed in Amway, you failed not Amway. I have a business degree but I have common sense first. Use sagacity in your analysis of Amway.
