Coulter is clearly very smart, and saying she is "stupid" is pointless. I do think Ann is right about victimhood being glorified in the US, but in terms of George Allen, he did put his foot in his mouth in that he used a racial slur against somebody. Period. Allen WAS stupid to have done that, and it didn't help he was in cowboy boots and said it sneeringly (and Allen in cowboy boots, to me, was as disingenuous as Dukasis looked on the tank). That was the point.

@mbus06 I pay my taxes, and I'm more left than the whole democratic party. The problems in this country are due to the absolute fact that this country has shifted politics into the loony bin end of religious conservatism and the Limbaughs and Coulters of the world just keep pushing us there. No matter how much the reality based and free thinking populous of the country would rather you not bring back bank-breaking tax cuts and spend my tax money in a totally unintelligent way.
