is it better a rosewood fretboard or a maple fretboard on this guitar? because there is another strat standard antique burst but with maple fretboard.. can u tell me the differences? thx

maple fretboards make the guitar sounding with more treble than the rosewood, but luthiers say that is a minimal difference, so its more like only a visual difference.

I also own a Standard in Metallic Black, and what I did to improve the tone, was to order a set of Fender ceramic Capacitors which only cost 6 bucks. I installed one on the rear tone pot and right away you could hear the difference. Sounds really great now!

@slytubeguitar Yes the Strat delux.. There is only 2 colors white and light/powder blue. I am not sure about the Tele Delux don't even think Ive seen one. My vote would be for the Squire Stratocaster Delux. Awesome guitar and feels as good if not better then its Mexican version. The Duncan Design pups sound really great. I got the white one and I love it. They are about $290.00

@slytubeguitar Yep its cheap about 4 bucks a pot and if you know how to solder it takes about 10 min. I sold mine cause I did not want to mess with it and I got the Squire Delux model with Duncan Design pups and I love it. Such a sweet guitar is as good if not better then the mex's. great tone an no changes needed.. : )

@robby188 they are ALNICO 5s but for some reason squire puts 500k pots on these. If you change your tone pots to 250k it will warm things up allot and you will love the sound even better..
