the deal was the kids laying in the road were struck by cars passing by so they pulled the film from theaters and edited out that scene. bullshit! thanks little stupid punks! hahah!

Unfortunately I can't find that scene. It wasn't a big deal; they were just lying in the road and cars were going by. Some kids decided to be stupid and re-create that scene so it was pulled.
Yes. I remember reading it in the paper and the political cartoons that followed. Kids get wrapped up too easily in movies. I also remember when FIght CLub came out they were finding underground boxing clubs. Well thats why the expression is young AND stupid.
