  • @Ignozi

He was swearing at some fans who were heckling him throughout the entire match. I was there for this match and I remember the entire crowd was against him, but a group sitting closeby were going overboard with their taunts

  • no one moves around the court as well as Edberg, hes like a gliding sneaky cat with flawless volleys!

  • Look at the perspiration on Edberg when he receives his award, back in the days when tennis players didn't need to towel down after every point>

  • Who was Goran swearing at?

    Line judges?

  • @MultiStar83 Yes I understand Croatian. My opinion is that I feel like he should have shown a bit more respect to Edberg.

  • @davd1986 Do you understand Croatian? I think, just as McEnroe says, he had every right to celebrate and show his emotions after reaching the semifinals of the US Open. If he was quiet after such a triumph, regardless of whom he played (Edberg in his last US Open), there would be something wrong in my view.

  • There's absolutely no need for Ivanisevic to swear and react like he did, right in front of Edberg. I know it wasn't directed at Edberg, but it still wasn't nice to see or listen to.

  • The real gentleman of tennis, Mr. Cool, Stefan Edberg. I grew up watching Edberg and his my first favorite tennis player. Miss u Stefan.

  • a sad night at the us open, edberg's last us open one of the most graceful champions to play the at flushing meadows, his 91 uso final destruction of courier to his grueling 92 campaign of 5 setters against krjajicek, lendl, chang, then sampras .... some great tennis memories

  • nice post...thanks!
