This is from the 2/20/88 show in Lucketts, VA and is some the best live bluegrass ever recorded.

  • I really like fast bluegrass, but in my opinion this is too fast

  • Oh man, such good bluegrass. Unbelievably fast and as tight as it gets.

  • Good Lord!

  • Is the DVD still available of this concert? If so, how do I purchase it? Thank you very much. Tom Adams is simply amazing. He is quite an inspiration to me to keep practicing.

  • Well i thought I could pick a banjo pretty good, but good Lord!!! Tom Adams can absolutely wear that thing out. I don't know how he picks that fast, they have to be doin 160+ beats per minutes

  • Even my almost 10 year old daughter loved these guys back in the early 1980s. I last went to see them in Withlacoochie, FL in 1988, but when I got to the festival, they had broken up.

  • LISTEN TO THAT BANJO, DAMN! Probably the best video online right now.

  • sclawman - I like bluegrass and country music, thank you so much for posting, more power and God Bless.

  • awesome! thanks for posting all these johnson mountain boys, they are fantastic!
