Technically, Kai Tak isn't entirely closed. They still have a flying club there on the side of the former runway. Helicopters sometime still buzz in and out of there.

Re: "is there any possibility of opening of kai tak". Condos? No problemo...that is what high-explosives are for! Seriously, even if the field WAS still there, that was a hairy approach and it would be pretty rediculous to put her back in service. RIP Kai Tak...new airport much better and safer.

Yes, I know that very well... just fyi... kai tak was kai tak.... though it was so called dangarous - there were relatively very less accidents at Kai Tak

The new airport is a lot better and a lot less dangerous, I don't see any point in opening it again.

no chance what so ever. they have constructed condos on the site and it has been turned into a cruise terminal i believe.
