do you pour the agar into petri dishes in cold or hot state?
-
Do you reuse the plastic petri dishes, and if so how do you sterilise them ( is there anyway to do so?)
-
Do you recommend sticking petri dishes in the fridge after? Would it be appropriate to inoculate straight out of fridge? thx :)

any way to make agar?

I give the used dishes after cleaning to my grandkids to keep their little things in. The plastic isn't autoclavable, so it's not a good idea to try to reuse them.

I use master slants for refrigerated storage. Petri dishes seem to sweat too much in the fridge.
