The audio transmissions from the Apollo 12 astronauts spike when in Surveyor Crater near the Surveyor 3 spacecraft. The astronauts act as bio-sensor metal detectors and are affected by the metal of the surveyor 3 spacecraft. In addition, the weak electrommagnetic fields at the lunar surface are directly related to the molecular structure of the localized lunar regolith and denser material below the surface. These weak fields have a physiological affect on the human body and can be replicated from the voice communications of the Apollo 12 astronauts- over 40 years later.
The Apollo 12 lunar sample 12047,6 is from the rim of Surveyor crater and is currently on loan to the Museum of Flight in Seattle, WA. The molecular electromagnetic field of this basalt sample matches the weak field replicated from the astronauts' audio transmissions.
