Aw man, l'm sincerely sorry for your loss of a friend . ln our younger day's my wife and l had a number of dogs . l didn't think l would want to go through the aggravation and inevitable heartbreak again . However, finding myself mostly alone, due to an unexpected divorce, l went and picked up a young female shepherd from the pound and named her Angel . She's not the brightest dog l've ever seen, but her loyalty and companionship are surpassed by none . Take care .

I'm sorry about your loss. It's tough. I know. We generally get older dogs from the pounds or from friends who can't keep them anymore. In Florida, that situation is not uncommon. Older, calmer dogs seem to suit our temperments and we seem to suit theirs. But we do loose them in a few years. Our Jack is up there in years, now, getting grey and slow. Come to think of it, so are we.

@curlew0609 Thanks Curlew. Another kennel owner has a male maltese who is 16 months old named Cody. She is wanting a web site done in exchange for him. Sounds rather familiar.

Sometimes a pet is harder to loose than humans. I just recently got a new puppy to replace Bebe, I will attach a video of him, might make you feel better. I am always here for you sir, let me know if you need anything.
