I just have to go back to New Mexico! Especially the area around Bandelier National Monument and Truchas! Gourgeous country!

I miss this kind of music.......

Ken Curtis also sang this to Jennifer Holt in one of his musical westerns for Columbia in the Forties. Curtis had been one of the Sons of the Pioneers before becoming a singting cowboy.

I just love listening to that great smooth voice of Jimmy Wakley. My uncle George was a major fan of Jimmy back in the day. Jimmy Wakley had a radio show on CBS radio that was extremely popular in the 1950'S. Thanks for posting that great song.

A great song. I used to have a record with the Sons of the Pioneers singing this (that's where I first heard it). I've also got a cd with Ray Eberle singing it with the Glenn Miller Orchestra. It was originally featured in the 1940 film Santa Fe Trail but, as I recall, just the music and no lyrics.

The song is Germam "liebling,Nacht dem tango vergiss mich" Joseph Schmidt gives a splendid rendition.

Many thanks for taking time to respond. Al Dubin wrote the lyrics to Harry Warren's
" I Only Have Eyes For You ". Do you know for certain that Will Grosz and Edwina Coolidge wrote the music or did they also contribute to the lyrics ?
Again, many thanks for your assistance.
Respectfully,
Del
Who wrote the music ? Who wrote the lyrics ? Please help !
Respectfully,
Del
