I watched this film in 1977. I admired Robert Shaw, and he'll always remain one of the greatest film actors of all times. Marthe Keller wasn't too good as a terrorist, and Bruce Dern has never been one of my favourites. John Williams is a superb score composer, but as far as airship scenes are concerned, John Barry has won.
Good movie plus a great performance by Bruce Dern. I wish the special effects at the end had been better, but I guess they had to deal with what they had in 1977.
@Sotnas I totally want to see that part too. Saw it as a kid many years ago and it stayed in my head - can't find it anywhere.

This is a movie that definitely should be remade.

Tom Landry was great in this movie. What an actor. If only they'd given him a speaking role.

@expanding Robert Shaw was great, I agree. Sort of a humorless Israeli James Bond who doesn't chase women.

I think that Marthe Keller was very good in every film she played.

Does anybody have the creepy scene in which they use the unsuspecting old man to test the bomb on?

O and Robert Shaw turned in a great performance as well. Can't forget the man who made "Quint" come alive...
