Health care reform in America Hannity with Daniel Hannan Say NO to Socialism Email your Congressman and Senators Hannan is your look into the future !!!
@herbs814 If you ask me, leaving the people at the mercy of their employers or their insurance companies is the real crime.
Having used the British National Health Service all my life, I can vouch for it's quality and popularity.
It's also a flawed argument to suggest that the people will automatically back any government that implements free healthcare - plus shouldn't a system's popularity speak for itself on quality of care.
@herbs814 You are taking the absolute piss? The vast improvements in health care within the UK was all thanks to the NHS. The recent issues it's been facing come from a combination of underfunding and PRIVITIZATION / MARKETIZATION. Even with the decline of standards within the NHS in recent times it still trumps the health-care system provided in the US.
@herbs814 Canadians would disagree with you. More like our system is a disaster. The #1 cause of bankruptcies in America is medical emergencies. Also one big reason companies invest in countries like Canada instead of the US is because with their national healthcare, the companies don't have to worry about medical benefits. National healthcare is actually cheaper than our system.
@sreba68 Government healthcare is always a disaster. When the government steals from individuals and businesses to fund vote-buying schemes, their product is always inferior to what free people and free markets could have produced. "National" health care is a crime against humanity.
I live in italy , I don't have a decent job . I take less then 10.000 euros a year . At the hospital they asked me to sign some paper that demonstrate what I just said . So after 1 week I finally got my , ISE paper . With that paper I don't even have to pay the taxes for my health care , this means I can even cure my teeth when I feel some little ache .. If my salary was more than 10.000 i had to pay some small taxes , but still not comparable to the high rates of the private hospitals .
@tobyluke1 Ahh, but his name is on the ballot though, correct? You're saying people just tend to vote for the entire party? Is their a check box for that at the top or something? I've never voted, haha.
@bweazel Not exactly. It's a form of "proportional representation" used for EU elections. If his party gets, say 30% in a region, then they may send two or three people to the EU parliament. The lists are transparent, but of course people don't really bother to look into it, they just select the party. But not enough scrutiny of the people on the list is made.

@bweazel No, his name is not on the ballot papr, only the party. However, the party does publish (elsewhere) its list of candidates, and ranks them.
