My ballast just went out. Oceanic encases the enclosure with plastic resin so you can't service them. Shame on them! I'll be ordering this kit soon! Thanks!

The Oceanic ballasts have a known high failure rate, not to mention completely random. The replacement Oceanic ballasts are tough to come by and even we don't know when we'll get more in stock in many cases. Because of this and the need for people to get their lights running again we developed the ballast upgrade/fix kit. The ballasts in this kit are also much higher quality than the stock Oceanic ballasts.
