Is every politician a mind-numbingly stupid hypocrite? Clinton signed the Defense of Marriage Act into law allowing each state to determine their own laws regarding marriage. North Carolina goes ahead and does that and now Clinton is against it? To quote Clinton: "I have long opposed governmental recognition of same-gender marriages and this legislation is consistent with that position. The Act confirms the right of each state to determine its own policy with respect to same gender marriage."
