FOR BEST QUALITY VIEWING VISIT : http://quartermoonartstheatre.com/Quarter_Moon_Arts_Theatre/Charlie_Chaplin_M... TRUE POETRY IN MOTION . . . Wonderful Scene with Charlie and Paulette Goddard from "Modern Times" 1936. Mr. Chaplin displaying another facet of his genius, this time on little wheels. "Charlie had acquired a new leading lady and, later, wife in Paulette Goddard. She was more mature, more intelligent and, though ambitious, far more sympathetic and understanding than his previous child wives had been. Although their association from 1932 was an open one, their marriage was kept secret. Paulette was to remain with Charlie until 1940, and star effectively in both Modern Times and The Great Dictator " - from the Library of World Biography - Chaplin by Roger Manvell 1974

  • @TheKenTerry most people respect chaplin because he brought comedy and laughter to a world full of people killing each other through world war 1 & 2 as well as through the great depression. not because his films are "old". also no on respects something because its old. tools respect things like that because others do. but hey you're american cant expect much more than a 1st grade education anyway :) at least in your case

  • @TheKenTerry that's either because you have no heart or no brain.

  • Paulette Goddard is so fine

  • @TaishoAce1001 True! I don't think there's comedy done like this at all.

  • I've watched Charlie Chaplin's films and I can honestly say I have never seen anything so funny and amazing in my life. To make films like this back then, they truly still shine even today.

  • I LOVE Chaplin's films!! It is such a treat when TCM plays them. My Dad used to show the short 1am on the projector in our living room, and I never laughed so much in my life!

  • What one person would dislike this?

  • GRR i was so jealous that he can do really cool tricks skating and every time iv'e been on those i bust my ass so hard

  • @yeroc9 TheKenTerry obviously has no sense of culture whatsoever, but must you go as far to say that since he is American you can conclude he is stupid and ignorant? I am American and I'm a little offended, for I adore Chaplin and am an avid Classic Film fanatic (and I am not even 20 yet). There are many, not only Americans, who have no idea what REAL art is in film, like Charlie Chaplin and basically everything from the golden age of Hollywood. Please don't assosiate me with such people.

  • @TheKenTerry you are supposed to appreciate the fact that NO-ONE can equal Charlie Chaplin's originality and genius in movies now and not ever.

  • @TheKenTerry I wish Americans would stop using the english language - the constant useage of the f..ck word is proof of the lack of knowledge of it's vast vocabulary. Read books to expand your vocabularies instead of watching so much tv.
