GTAIV ati4870 512 phenom 9950

CPU @ 2900Mhz 2GB
ADATA ram 4,4,4,12,22 OC to 840Mhz

I been trying so many different ways to get this pop up issue sorted. I tried more RAM, I've had my CPU OC to 3.0Ghz with a higher memory latency 5,5,5,18,24 and I have tried various clocks on my gfx card but this pop up issue still exists. All game settings have been tried including high texture unrestricted but this pop up issue remains and the game smoothness is consistant.

This game is awesome to play but if you want it be be prepaired for some frustration and work to get it running better. The game needs patching and ATi need better drivers I reakon for a start.

Weird thing is that with my duel core it didn't crash or pop up the textures. That was running xp aswell. now with vista 64 and quad core the game runs smoother but the bloody things pop up everywhere lol. I am thinking it might be an ati thing. Nvidia seems to be a little better.

I did all the upgrade and got vista plus all patches and updates etc and it still does it

Could be looking at a hardware defect somewhere. I have given up lol

@caboose6789 it is your cpu.. cause i had a 9800 gtx with a quad core and never had any pop ups

1GB gfx cards

keep your memory settings green

try a few mods

yes you can, i installed it on a my pc friend with a quad core and 4gb the game ran fine

should run gta iv just fine
