Part one of a soon to be collection of all the strange weird and scary insects of Far North Queensland. This one is some kind of leaf eater and the camouflage is truly amazing if anyone can name it please do

  • It's 100% FAKE!!!

  • I'm not touching leaves again

  • my full screen doesn't work... T_T

  • It looks like a praying mantis, no a kava fruit, no a flower, no a demon.. ok, all of the above

  • its a spiny leaf insect i used to breed them... not that impressive 2 dollars at the pet store haha

  • what is really cool about this bug is that it its body is covered with a hard shell. That is what the camo is. It is almost impossible to break by other insects, except the mantis. If its outer shell does not hold up, it sprays out a stinky vapor that actually scares almost all predators away.

  • @Gangsta4Life254 not the mantis, its related to the walking stick which is related to the walking leaf insect which is what is in this video. i dont know the particular species, but it is a type of walking leaf. these, the sticks and the mantis are all on different branches of the same family tree though, and if i remember right are all considered to be in the beetle group.
