Progessive Big Band Chords is a free jazz guitar lesson by Guy Fenocchi where you will learn how to play four variations of an F chord. Many times the chord names in a big band chord progession can be daunting. Luckily, instead of remembering what a Fmaj7#11 is you can use a more common chord as a substitute. We'll start with power chords and then progress on to harder barre chords and comping style chords.

Maybe F because an F chord is often the first step when learning to play movable shapes and barre chords.. after starting with open shapes (e,f,c,g,a,d)?
