Where was this concert recorded?
This is fantastic thanks for posting the video.
PS: I alway's tell the younger generation when Im in public and here these great songs playing in the intercom system, those were the day's my friend,we were Americans just enjoying life, and you know something true, everytime they want to hear more about the 70's, 80's,and 90's.Not about rude hippies & freaks, just about good hard working pions having a great time being Americans.

"You kids don't know Grand Funk? The wild shirtless lyrics of Mark Farner? The bong-rattling bass of Mel Schacher? The competent drumwork of Don Brewer? Oh, man!"

Yeah he is a jerk but I don't want to get into that. I don't like what Farner does but he's not a bad guy. Lets just enjoy the music now ;)

Hard to answer all the points you made, but I love the military boys and girls who go and fight. They are still as special today as they were then. And to the criminals their day will come.
EUROPE Has the Echelon program, America has NSA. go figure.
I can't help but think of the Nazi / Japan's Kamikaze, none of it end to well for the living or the dead, hence the world today.

That was kind of my point on Farner, Nugent etc. They wanted no part of battle back when they were young enough to fight. Different story now. It was a stupid war anyway...wasted 50,000 American lives and millions of Asians fighting a war that had no purpose or reason. I knew people who went and some didn't come back. I respect the men and women who went out of duty... they didn't know then what we know now. I have no respect for the men who sent them over there nor the upper echelon military.

You understand very well.
Most were anti war in Nam,most being afraid of having to go fight and die. Thats basicly wheree the bad rap came from. But form one Who Didn't go to war or burnt their cards 1000's of othewrs went and fought.
Remember this the University shooting and killing of students change the idea of public preseption, but that was due to the media and the prowar in government. The hippie and freaks were very good Americans for the most part. Some were not. 1968 Woodstock was ((:

Not a problem really. I was probably too young to be a hippie and I'm not sure where the perceptions of what a hippie was even came from... tv stereotypes I'd guess. Most long haired rock & rollers I knew had jobs and/or went to school. Back then it was ok to wear your hair long and work in a factory or construction. We called ourselves hippies or freaks but it was more about attitude and philosophy than anything.... being cool/live and let live. It was the opposite of rude and dirty.

Sorry I should have made comment clear, nothing is wrong with hippies & freaks That I know of back in those days. They always seem to get a bad press from the media, many worked/work and are great Americans. No more or less than any group of Americans.Times chnage and people change. depending on the kind of work you are seeking will guid a person to fit the job. No so much because of anti long hair but because customers may have a expectation, so company.must fit that customer or out OF Busi.
