In this video I explain the steps involved to remove a window regulator(to install a regulator just reverse the steps), install a power locks actuator and remove the glass from a door.
(the steps are basically the same for rear doors)

The steps described in this video should work on most Japanese cars and possibly other cars.
The steps may be different on some cars but should be basically similar.

Be careful and make sure you don't drop the glass in the door.

  • Hey thanks for this video.

I just wanted to ask a question and hopefully you can get an idea of what could be wrong.

On my 95' Eclipse, i have power door locks but when I try to lock or unlock by pressing the power locks button, the passenger side locks do not unlock or lock at all. The driver's side is fine however.

  • @MikeyGunit24

The passenger side doesn't lock or unlock at all?

  • @frylockthefryman

Only when I manually unlock or lock the door. But the "Power" mechanism of it doesn't work like it should.

  • @MikeyGunit24

If the driver side locks and unlocks when you press the button then it can't be the switch. Could be that the power locks actuator is damaged, the power locks control unit could be damaged or the power locks actuator may not be getting power. I would start with taking off the door panel and testing the power wires for the power locks actuator.

  • thanks

Could be that the glass is rubbing against the rubber window channel. You can try spraying silicone spray or apply silicone grease to the inside of the window tracks where the glass slides.

  • @frylockthefryman Hi bro! I have a question that You may be can help me out ...every time I load up or down the glass of my window (manual) makes a loud noise like a whistle ... do you think I should change the window regulator? or can be something else?

  • @tmr3513 "Doesn't" any of you? Really? Better correct your own mistakes before telling others of theirs.

  • @tmr3513

If you have basic mechanical skills and know how to properly use tools you should be able to understand what to do. If you don't have those skills it may be best for you to hire a professional because you may damage your vehicle trying to perform this task. Also this video is just a basic guide, not a tutorial specific for every vehicle.
