CBCNewsworld Sept 1, 2009 - One Change comments on phase out of inefficient lighting. CBC anchor Andrew Nichols interviews the Executive Director of One Change Stuart Hickox about the European Union phasing out inefficient light bulbs. One Change is the company that has been running the Project Porchlight campaign all over North America to encourage people to switch old incandescent light bulbs to newer CFL bulbs. Stuart explains the benefits of making simple changes like changing light bulbs and how making these changes will not only help protect the environment but will also save people money. He goes on to explain that people who make these changes will go on to make more changes as one change leads to another - simple actions matter.

For the last 3 years I have been stocking up on incandescent light bulbs. These eco fucks are not going to tell me what bulbs to use! I tired one of those curly bulbs and they suck! A 100 watt had the same effectiveness of a 40 watt bulb!

Stuart Hickox is one of the biggest morons known to man kind. Humans are not responsible for the change of the climate. Even if the world only used enegy saving bulbs, the affect that its gona have on the climate is ZERO. Somebody needs to check this guy into a mental institution.

@stickedU u need to listen carefully at whats being said in the video. if u notice on 2:01 - 2:02 the guy clearly states that "INCANDECENTS WILL CONTINUE TO BE AVAILABLE THATS MORE EFFICIENT" and facts are, there are some places in ur house where incandecents are needed. it amazes me how brain washed u are about this "GOING GREEN". its all a scam buddy. there other ways to save the planet. incandecents dont harm the planet. it just raises ur bill. u will learn one day. i'm stocking up edisons
