Upgrading Mac Pro with dual HD 5870 video cards. This upgrade is claimed to be impossible on the Apple forums but with a small tweak it is easy to do and works well. Supports up to 6 monitors. Demo of X-Plane 9 over triple monitors with dual 5870's

  • Hi, when will you test x-plane 10? :-)

  • @fyso77 I have it already and have been using it. I was kind of hoping apple will release new video cards for the Mac Pro in March so kind of waiting on that....

  • Will this solution work with a Mac Pro 3.1, early 2009 model.

  • @RonH8775 Yes I think so

  • hi could u give use a link to the spliters i cant find them

  • @nickmurray22 i believe even a non-Apple certified graphics card should be compatible with Mac OS X Lion

  • @mrpolarbear1945 Yes you can use the PC version in the MacPro but it only works if you boot your Mac to Windows, it does not work under Mac OS

  • @nickmurray22 but i've actually seen a video in which a man's successfully installed a XFX HD6870 graphics card into a mac pro
