How I wish I could ask you to isolate and post the "breakfast scene", where he finally wins Robert Young over by teaching the baby about aversion therapy! I'd love to send it to some friends of ours who coddle their kids so much, they simply adore every time he throws something at the guests ("Oh, just look at how clever he is!"... etc.)

He could, couldn't he LOL? And yet in Lauren Bacall's autobiography, she described her and Bogies longtime friend (and he was a much loved friend of many), as one of the kindest, funniest people around!

Clifton Webb was one of the most talented Hollywood characters. He danced, sang and was a 3 time Acadamy award nominee. His films are on sale at Amazon and ive gotten a few of the more rare ones on ebay and ioffer. He really was an incredible person. I hope future generations will get to see his work.

As far as I know there were only two other Belvedere films: Mr. Belvedere Goes to College (with Shirley Temple) and Mr. Belvedere Rings the Bell. They have their moments but were not as good as Sitting Pretty. There is another Webb movie I love that is hard to catch when he plays a professor whose daughter elopes with a neighbor's sons. The in-laws all go on a wild ride to find her. Very amusing.
