Shaun Fewings joined the NSW Police Force in 2008 as a Media Liaison Officer.
He has also worked as the News Projects Officer and the Executive Media Adviser within Public Affairs.
Shaun said he joined the organisation because it seemed like an interesting progression that would develop new skill sets.
He lists variety and travel as his favourite aspects of the job and counts working as the on scene media officer during the Jamie Neale Blue Mountains rescue as one of his career highlights.
Shaun said his immediate goal was to increase and improve the scope of police media training.
"A smart police officer is one who is able to utilise the media to solve a case," he said.
