This is "Eneomao's Machine Tower" from Castlevania: Curse of Darkness. CoD by Konami, music composed by Michiru Yamane, arranged for two pianos by Mark Andrews who is playing on the left. Sheets can be found on his website where you will also find a massive amount of other high quality piano arrangements of game and soundtrack music. Also, make sure to visit his channel where he puts up recordings of many of them:

This is one of the more memorable and atmospheric pieces from Curse of Darkness and it's one of those pieces in which you can immediately hear Yamane's style. It also has a striking resemblance to Leon's Theme from Lament of Innocence. Anyway, Curse of Darkness doesn't get too much love, but for me, the music lets me endure all its flaws with pleasure.

  • Wonderful arrangement, but it's a shame this isn't played on actual pianos - this piece really can't afford to be bogged down by the 'dampness' of the synths. It is the pulse and exactness (especially in the piano parts and the rhythm section in the OST track) of the rhythm that makes this piece tick, above all. Undoubtedly, Yamane probably consulted the pedal, especially with the staccato chord progressions in the piano, but even then, that's because her piano synth was very percussive.

  • @TheWanderingNight hi, i think i know what you mean. and i dare say that this piece does in fact work on digital pianos, and if you say the synths are damped, then the reason for that will most probably be that i was the one who had the percussive beat in the left hand and i didn't manage to differentiate every single note properly. the end result is still quite decent nevertheless, i'd say. but yeah, the piano synth in the original has a special to it. looking forward to your arrangements :)

Is it possible to play this alone?

  • @Kwachii Well it might be possible to play most parts alone, but it would lack some parts and there would be lesser details. It's worth a try though :)
