Flame is the debut fragrance from the royal court of the Burger King. His majesty the Burger King reigns over a peaceful realm of Whoppers and Chicken Tenders. And now there is great rejoicing in the land, for the king has bequeathed his loyal subjects with the gift of perfume. Huzzah!

Flame bills itself as the scent of seduction with a hint of flame-broiled meat which is redundant, cuz for a lotta guys, the scent of seduction *is* a hamburger.

Well, you can put the ketchup down, boys, cuz all I'm getting here is a noseful of woods and smoky leather. It smells like a niche perfume! The kind that I like and spend a lot of money buying! Now I have to re-examine my values. Thanks a bunch, my beefy monarch.

Flame is made by Demeter, who are famous for their whimsical non-perfume perfumes like Lobster, Play-Doh and Funeral Home. With Flame, you pretty much get the whole value meal in the first spritz. It's front-loaded with lightly-toasted spicy leather. And then it vanishes.

Flame is the fast food version of a fragrance: immediate gratification and empty calories. Have it your way, Burger King -- Flame's better than it needs to be.
