@TripwireAlarm Gill isn't just a prospect, he's a fucking phenom. He's over 65 feet or 20m with a 16 pound (or 7kg) shot at 16 already.

@gbrad48 No, Gill has a better chance - he threw the 5kg 23.86m (furhter than Crouser) and currently heaves the 7kg shot 20.01m (over 65 feet) at the age of 16, and he's a skinny bugger too.

Someone said his technique isn't that good. True . . it's actually superb . . on the big throw he really gets his hips into it, mainly because he gets his drive leg further across the circle. It also helps that he's a massive, very fast bloke and that his weight differential to the 12lbs shot is so high. I've seen a lot of his throws with the 16 lbs shot and he never gets his right leg into the same advanced position. Admittedly it's much harder to get the hips through with the big shot.
