Many are calling us to Spiritual Disciplines practiced in the Church for centuries and many are responding to the call. Should we follow in the steps of the ancient Christians? Are their teachings scriptural?Where did those practices that are not found in the Bible come from? These questions are important and need to be addressed as they involve the spiritual health of Christians in our times. This Video Series traces the roots of contemplative practices from the the early second century in an attempt to answer these questions and more. I think you have not established your argument.The versus you use have nothing to do with spiritual disciplines.It is the issue of "Salvation by Grace in Christ works alone.It is the issue of knowing the content of Gods gospel.I don't know any teacher of Spiritual disciplines that say"you can achieve salvation through these silencing practices.I studied the occult for many years,and buddism in Graduate school.Neoplatonism is Gnostism.Thank you keep in touch!
