It's really a shame that they're restricted to base... don't get to have nearly the fun those of us who go there unaffiliated with the US gov't have... I will say, however, that it's rather creepy when you land at Manas International Airport, and the first thing you see is a row of USAF fighter jets.

I've been to that base 3 yrs ago and my sister used to work there with French Coalition. Never got a chance to get such a detailed look at the base. What I saw was well furnished rooms with different types of entertainment like pool, satellite TV, bars, etc. I think it's way better than in Afghanistan without being afraid to be exploded on the bomb. Moreover our Kyrgyz people they're very hospitable, kind and very very friendly.
