On Sunday 1st August 2010, we went from Bristol all the way to Land's End, Cornwall.

Land's End is more than just the end of the Britain, it's a proper tourist attraction! Thousands of people flock there everyday to stand in front of the famous sign saying it's ONLY 3147 miles to New York and 860 miles to John O'Groats.

It also marks the starting point of a race that takes place here yearly and gives a sense of scale that the UK isn't as small as you think.

0:06 -- Driving through Clifton, Bristol.

0:14 -- Driving along the Clifton Suspension Bridge, Bristol.

0:33 -- GPS saying that we have 196 miles to go to Land's End.

0:35 -- Entering North Somerset.

0:44 -- Passing Ashton Court Estate.

1:16 -- 150 miles to go.

1:20 -- Passing Taunton Deane Services and sign saying 111 miles to Newquay and 138 miles to Penzance.

1:25 -- Passing Junction 27 of the M5 for Willand.

1:27 -- Convoy of campers!

1:35 -- Sign for Killerton House and Garden.

1:40 -- 120 miles to go.

1:41 -- Passing Junction 31 of the M5 with signs for Bodmin, Okehampton, Plymouth and Torquay.

1:47 -- Merging onto the A30.

1:58 -- 100 miles to go.

2:11 -- Passing the Devonshire Countryside.

2:24 -- 80 miles to go.

2:25 -- Entering Cornwall, Kernow a'gas dynergh.

2:31 -- 50 miles to go.

2:34 -- Moderate rain shower.

2:41 -- 40 miles to go.

2:46 -- Wind-powered turbines.

3:02 -- Passing Cornish moorlands.

3:14 -- The A30 begins to bend more.

3:20 -- Approaching Chiverton Cross Roundabout with signs for Truro, Redruth, St. Agnes and Newquay.

3:23 -- 20 miles to go.

3:31 -- Views of Penzance.

3:38 -- 11 miles to go.

3:52 -- Passing Penzance Heliport.

4:08 -- The A30 narrows to a country road.

4:22 -- Sign for Land's End Aerodrome and Scenic Flights.

4:41 -- W. C. Matthews & Son Builder, Decorator and Funeral Directors!

4:42 -- Sign for Land's End.

4:45 -- 1 mile to go to!

4:47 -- Land's End Post Office

4:57 -- Approaching the Land's End Complex.

5:06 -- Entering the Land's End Visitor Complex Car Park.

5:20 -- Panorama of Land's End and the First and Last Refreshment House in England.

5:53 -- The famous Land's End signpost saying that it is 3147 miles to New York; 874 miles to John O'Groats; 28 miles to the Isles of Scilly and 1.5 miles to Longships Lighthouse.
