  • @AkathisiA101 Well, I don't know enough about it yet to say whether that's true or not. But if any type of drug changes the mood of the sufferer, I think that makes it pretty clear that the mood has a physical basis.

  • You are an incredible Physician. Keep up the good work in explaining this elusive disorder to physicians who would otherwise overlook it. Thank you! I know my diagnosis changed my life for the better.

    Openly Bipolar<-----

  • Went to doctor at age 25, first person I ever told about suicidal depression. He told me I was in self-pity and to get over it. Ashamed, kept strange moods a secret. Suffered with bipolar for years.

Finally diagnosed at age 41, when my suicidal lows became very dangerous...was planning, ready to follow through. Community counsellor picked up on symptoms and referred to psychiatrist. She saved my life.

Doctors being aware of this disorder can change lives, prevent years of needless suffering.

  • I have bipolar 1, rapid cycling, with psychosis. Suggestions:

    - what happens in the brain, most recent information.

    -Long term prognosis

-More about how bipolar can affect sugar levels, and how to treat or manage this

-Are there any emergency meds to have on hand for breakthrough mood swings (severe mania or severe depression, as an alternative because I refuse to go to psych ward, family can dispense emergency meds).

Thank you, the video was excellent !

  • You bipolar people should come and talk to us other sufferers on Mapofmates :)

  • this guy gets what being bipolar is, and where a lot of initial doctors fail. Most of us start with our primary care physician, only to be misdiagnosed year after year...

  • There are no lab tests,MRIs, brain scans, X-rays or chemical imbalance tests that can verify any mental disorder is a physical condition.

  • You people have a long way to go. Having a diagnosis of any of this will ruin someones life. The cure is worst +han the beast that might or Might not be cellular. To have a person be told "Cookies if you're good" is no way +o live. Being trivialized is Worst than any disease that Might or Mightnot be cellular.

  • Good video.Thanks for posting.
