  • @LocutusofBorg013 Makes sense. Ha, BSing is such a necessary tool in parli...

  • @Mocoohay17 I did TP in High School and avoided LD as much as possible (was your LD value?). I really don't know how T works in value; I just BS my way through T in value parli rounds. Also my partner last year was a former LDer so she could handle value rounds. I just kind of extended. But yeah, T on the NFA and NPDA circuits are pretty similar to this, just fast and slightly less developed

  • @LocutusofBorg013 That makes sense. It really takes two to deal with T well. I've done LD in high school but I have no experience with it in the college circuit. Are the T arguments the same in that case?

  • @Mocoohay17 I totally agree on T. I run it almost every non-metaphorical round (but I rarely go for it--I'm the 1 and I've never had a 2 that can really do T very well), but I meant that if you're going to do that basic of a shell you shouldn't have to spend 2 minutes on it. If you're going to do more standards or violations that's perfectly reasonable. In LD I've spent more than half of my NC on one shell before.

  • @LocutusofBorg013 I was referring to the "spreading." It's not fast at all. But in terms of T, that's perfectly reasonable. I don't mean this condescendingly, but good T arguments take time. While they are intended to just enforce the rules, they are a very powerful and can be brought up no matter Gov's case. There are schools who run them every debate because it takes the debate into philosophy and they can be prepared for. Also, that is funny she does that. She shouldn't need to do that

  • @Mocoohay17 That's not even standard. 2:00 on T in the 1 is waaaaay too slow. One minute max, with more violations, standards, and voters (I'm amused by the aff needing to fix her flow with a POI)

  • @LocutusofBorg013 I agree, that's just standard. That's ridiculously easy to keep up with

  • spread spread spread spread

  • That spreading is nothing...even NCFCA TP is faster

  • can't catch it ..My God..
