You seem more concerned about damaging your camera than your eyes. You should always eye protection when smashing things like this buddy.

A caveat - wear goggles when smashing stuff. One day the inevitable will occur and your eyes will thank you.

ull find that if u go thru with the motion instead of letting it deflect upon impact, it would shatter much easier

nice hammer. if i may offer some constructive criticism just as in golf you should allow the weight of the hammers head itself to gather the momentum. rather then adding all that extra muscle a finesse approach would not only add extra aim but a well landed blow offers more damage per the swing :]
