i couldnt help but notice the incredibly loud pop when engaging the units especially the z vex pedal. isnt this a problem?

probably yes...both do have a loud pop...I don't use either live, so haven't had to deal with the problem.

And I'm curious, what don't you like about Strats?

Well...I'm a Tele dude, and whenever I play Strats, I suck for some reason...which is odd, because a strat SHOULD play easier than a Tele...but I never play my strat, so whenever I do, it puts my ass in check, and I generally don't play very well. Sorry...that's not a good explanation, but that's the truth for me! Maybe I need a different Strat, but I've had this one for nearly 20 years, so it's kind of like a child to me....my least favorite child! Kidding... ROCK ON! GMD
