Dark Souls (JP) Play 4 - Armored Boar and Courtyard

This is just heading into the chapel courtyard to fight the boar. Lots of parry-fail... I blame a lack of sleep... and the fact that I suck sometimes.

You can get a helmet from the boar... probably by breaking it off its head. I hit it with 2 back-attacks and it died, so that sucks for me. Luring it with the skull and then doing a dive attack onto its head might give the desired results. I wish I had tried.

Because a lot of people are asking me, yes, I live in Japan. Yes, I understand SOME Japanese. Not enough really, but I get by.

You know, if you had stayed on the top where the archers were and sniped the boar in the face with arrows, he would've dropped the helm. Thats what I did like an hour ago. And P.S, the helm is a really good equip!

@EpicNameBro One other cheap way to beat him: have him chase you to the stairs, right next to the fire. He'll be in a little cranny, and has to turn around. Walk off the stairs and plunge attack (from five feet off the ground). Done. No skulls and no arrows required. Ahahaha

Aw, I wish I saw this playthrough when it was just starting out, I could have told you that there was a titanite bug that comes out if you smash some barrels on the way up to the taurus demon. I don't know if you go back and get it, but I know you missed it so far.

easiest way to kill the ugly armored monstrosity: throw a skull in the fires, he will die to the first one

drop rates are based off of your humanity till ten with the 1.05 patch so higher drop rate higher chance but still it is not ever guaranteed to drop.

Awh, I miss the fresh experience. If I could wipe my memory of Dark Souls I would, because the first playthrough was one of the best gaming experiences of my life. After that it just became too easy. New game plus, PvP, SL 1 playthrough. Hundreds of hours later and the game is a repetitive drag. But those first 200 hundred hours were fantastic. I hope they release another game like this, even harder with more bosses. And better online play.

i got a backstab off of him and got the helm, i think(if i recall correctly) that the only way you cant get the helm is if you throw the skull into the fire, having him kill himself, or sotin like that

in order to get the Armoured Boar Helm, you must let him kill himself with one of the fires
