Hi, I'm Mark McCaslin, and I am an entrepreneur and former struggling network marketer. My mission is simply to share powerful, life-changing information with others interested in direct sales, home based business, mlm and/or network marketing.
I followed the typical script for my life: go to school, get a good job, and don't expect much more until retirement. I got married, and my wife and I now have 9 children. We live in New Jersey which, if you know anything about New Jersey, is one of the most expensive states in which to live, let alone raise a family. It did not take us long to realize we needed to increase our cash flow. How did we end up like this, living paycheck to paycheck?
The world's advice had failed me. I did what I was "supposed" to do: graduated from college; received a Master's degree; found a "good, secure" job.
But after 18 years of working for someone else - and 2 layoffs - I saw that I had very little to show for it except a mountain of debt. This is not what I expected out of life! I wanted the annual vacation to somewhere other than the backyard. I wanted the nice cars. I did not want that sick feeling in the pit of my stomach that started Sunday morning as I thought about getting "back to the grind" the next morning.
It was then that I really took a serious look at network marketing - after all, if Donald Trump and Robert Kiyosaki endorsed this business model, the least I could do was check it out.
I dove into the opportunity and was told that if I did everything that the successful distributors then I would be successful too. What they didn't tell me was that 97% of all network marketers fail. I did everything my upline told me to do: I called every family member and all of my friends to share my great opportunity with them; I used the "3 foot rule" and spoke to anyone that came near me; I handed out dvds and magazines to strangers; I invited people to hotel meetings and held meetings in people's homes. I traveled across the country to attend training events; and I even bought leads. I did succeed in alienating most of my family and friends, and got so many odd or disgusted looks from strangers that I lost count. What I did not succeed at was making the kind of money that could change my life for the better. In fact, I sank much more money into my business than I ever earned from it - it was like trying to raise the titanic. To say I was discouraged would be an understatement.
I learned the skills and tactics used by the top money earners and how to dominate any business through the correct marketing. Why am I telling you all of this? Because I have struggled and beat my head against the wall just like 97% of network marketers. I know what it's like to be discouraged and frustrated. But I also know what it's like to finally have my eyes opened, which is why I want to share this information with as many people as possible. "Do unto others as you would have them do unto you." I truly believe that the more people you can help, the more success you can find for yourself - if you are ready for it.
