My review of the surprisingly good film LIMITLESS, where Bradley Cooper plays a failed writer who is given a drug that allows him to utilize 100% of his brain, turning him into the best possible version of himself.

  • Why you all taking this film so seriously? Its just a bloody film! Just watch it and enjoy for crying out loud! If it was too realistic it wouldn't be entertaining and wouldn't be a FILM would it !!

I watched it and thought it was awesome and great idea for a film. Who cares about the rest! Stop nit picking this film! ...God some people!!!

  • the end felt sewn together, with large haphazard stitching. 6.8

  • Thanks, it sounds like this one is a movie I will check out.

  • @aaronsande well fair enough. I can ignore large plot holes in a film if it doesn't detract from the overall story but I feel that is the exception to the rule. Usually, plot holes annoy the crap out of me too.

  • @Demarcoa I can do that for a good movie, but there are other issues as I mentioned above. If they don't have a DAMN good explanation why the "dealer" gives this awesome drug to that loser in that diner, vs selling it to a billionaire of whatever, then I might watch it. That is, if they can also give a DAMN good explanation how those with money and power can't find out and acquire this drug once that loser starts using it, then I might watch it. I hate plot holes more than suspending disbelief.

  • @aaronsande yep, and that might be completely correct. Our brain can make mistakes, misfire, etc. Lack of regular sleep for example, can really mess up your cognitive functions. So it's not like all your faculties aren't being used, but you can definately be using them a lot less, if you get my drift.

  • @aaronsande glad I could be of help. Honestly though, if you can do suspension of disbelief it sounds like a good movie.

  • @Demarcoa Well, now I'm not going to watch the movie because it's based on a stupid premise.

Thanks for saving me the money! ;D

  • @Demarcoa That's fine. I never quite believed the 10% figure anyway, but I could believe that we can't access all of it all the time, because, well quite simply, of memory lapses..."brain farts". It sure SEEMS that we aren't able to use all of our thinking power/knowledge all the time.

  • Thank Jon,

Definitely going to check it out.
