My favorite wrestler in the world. The High Flying Star, Hiroshi Tanahashi!!

Debuted in October 10, 1999 (look at the upload date lol, EDIT: wait damn, i thought it was the 10th after midnight), Tanahashi took New Japan by storm by defeating the likes of Negro Casas, Scott Hall, and Kensuke Sasaki in his first three years. He went to team with Kenzo Suzuki. Tanahashi made headlines when he was hospitalized after his girlfriend, whom was a reporter for TV Asahi, stabbed, stabbed him in the back. Tanahashi made waves for his return and became a bigger star then ever. He had faced many greats throughout his career (see below for examples). He has compete in interpromotional matches in All Japan and Pro Wrestling NOAH. He also has gone on foreign excursions by competing in Consejo Mundial de Lucha Libre, CMLL, in Mexico and Total Nonstop Action, TNA, in America. All of which ultimately culminate to his IWGP title reigns and as New Japans top ace.

He is a multi-time IWGP Heavyweight Champion, IWGP Tag Team Champion, 2-time IWGP U-30 Champion, GHC Tag Team Champion, New Japan Cup winner, and G1 Climax winner.

  • Blasphemy The Ryu theme is to only be used in Kenny Omega Tributes

  • @darkjudicator as of Wrestle Kingdom V, he's a 3 time IWGP champ and just to let u know, he's Mutoh's student.

  • I've only just discovered Tanahashi. Thank you so much for this tribute. I will never, ever get sick of watching this man's suplexes. And I think the Sling Blade is my new favourite move ever.
