Onboard with Franz at McRae Rallysprint - Perth Motorplex

For the record, the reason the sound from the camera stops as Franz launches and starts again as he pulls into the time control at the end of the stage is because we (ok, I) forgot to cover the microphone opening to cut down on wind noise (the good people at ReplayXD even include a sheet of stickers to do this with when you purchase a camera).

The camera used in this video is a ReplayXD 1080, recording at 720p and 30fps.

The mount used in this video is a Camzilla TSMA1, with the mounting thread removed so that I could fix a ReplayXD snap tray to the mounting plate, and use the ReplayXD heim lock to hold the camera itself.

Nice video from the Replay XD1080. I've found that putting a small piece of race tape over the holl works well too. A mic gain setting of 25 instead of the default 35 also make a big difference.
