actually no. You can drop a tranny in about half and hour, I did mine in 45 minutes without using a jack or lift. However My flywheel nut is stuck and I've thrown everything I've got on it. Now I have to cut the fucker and buy another bolt. takes about 20 to 30 minutes to pull off everything assuming its not stuck replace the rear mains, pilot bearing and flywheel/clutch, assuming your hustling. and probably 2 hours to put everything back on.... without a lift. FC trannys are easy.

how much labour is it to fit a new clutch, and since i have a double plated clutch once it wears do i have to pay another £1200 for a new clutch???? cuase thats crazy talk

Depends heavily, on the tools available, such as Vehicle Hoist, tranmission jacks and the like. If your stuck jacking the vehicle on the floor or ground and using blocks to remove the transmission, then its of course going to take longer. and god what horrible music, my garage only listens to rock
