  • nobody with a british accent is going to tell me anything about where the blues came from

  • @fuckallthatshit No they aint but they sure will tell you who saved it in the 1960's and brought it back from the brink when the Americans could'nt give a crap about it! t hats what my film is about.

  • Hope you are showing something of our upcoming young blues talent, such as Peter Shoulders from Waldridge, Chester le Street?

He was the youngest guitarist to appear at the Stanley Blues festival I am led to believe

  • Hey,

I've checked out Pete Shoulder on his Myspace and He does not strike me as a Blues artist, I'm not very familiar with him but these films are only really about blues.

  • Magic! - (and having played with several blues bands in the USA) if Ray Stubbs isn't one of the finest examples of dedication to the blues life, I don't know who is

  • @echofilms Ha ha! Well said! :-)

  • Peter Shoulder - Wiki

In early 2005, Shoulder collaborated with blues artist, Little Milton, on what was to be has final album, Think of Me. He wrote "Thinking of you", "Second hand love" and "Gonna find me somebody to love". He also played lead and rhythm guitar on all three tracks. At the 2006 Blues Music Awards, "Thinking of You" won the Best Song Award.[2]

  • I understand he was recently given an American Blues Award for co - writing (with an American top draw bluesman)a song for a major movie. I beleive he is only the 2nd UK blues player to be given this accolade, and I think the other was Clapton, but the latter may not be accurate I will check this out now

  • He pops in to local pubs to play and do his own version of famous blues tracks as well as his own. I heard him in Birtley doing the worst ever bubblegum song as blues version. I hated the original song (as most did in '70). I would have bought his version.

  • Many thanks for looking him up.

Record comps run miles when blues is mentioned I think this is the reason why is plays rock to earn pennies, but beleive me his heart is all Blues.
