Still love this song to pieces! I remember watching him perform this on Wolfman's Jack's Midnight Special Show... those were the days...Friday night's were the best...Jiffy popcorn, family around the TV...and we got to witness live performances of an era of music that is still unmatched..and probably never will be.

I remember when Radio stations used to play everything. Rock, R&B Now everything is segregated. Its wierd. I grew up on this song (This one) Not the Isley Brothers Version, Which is good also. But this is classic.

What fucking planet were you on? I was just a kid and I remember my father losing his job and my mother having to work two, waiting in the car forever just to get gas. EVERYTHING you cite as bad today is the direct result of the worthless, narcissistic, self indulgent, baby boomer generation that was the 60's and 70's. BTW homes were cheap because interest rates were over 20%. In short everyone of that era gave us what we have now. The 70's was a decade of worthlessness. Great song though.
