Tom Cruise comes out to say hello to the Toronto audience at Much On Demand, December 08 2008. But what he doesn't realize until too late that in the audience is someone with a Guy Fawkes mask...

Note: Since many comments have been saying things like 'he should've signed the GF mask!' and 'you should have gotten him to sign a copy of OT3!' - I'd like to clear this up.

#1 - only 2 anons, no free hands.
#2 - taking off mask for autograph would result in masked Anon getting named (duh!).
#3 - masked anon was actually shouting 'SIGN MY MASK TOM' (I know, I know, contradicts point #2). GF masks are notorious for muffling your voice. Nuff said.

Confused? Try these links, where Tom talks about 'shattering suppression' and confronting SPs:

  • I hope you sent that ending letter to him in some form.

  • Unfortunately no, we'll have to make do with YT-mail :P

  • Hey, at least Palin graduated from college, more than this douchebag could ever claim.

  • One more thing, The Church of Scientology is evil. What Anonymous does is more than useful for the humankind.

Why don't you visit some of the sites that offer non disguiding information about them and us, before you make unconsidered accusations?

  • tom curise hates canadians

  • The mask has nothing to do with v for vendetta it's a European mask dedicated to guy Fawkes. Random people have them, but the people who insult people with them can more than

Likely get their shit kicked by those with the mask.

  • ohhhh what a tough guy!! guy fawkes mask!! scaaaary! I'd hate to run into that guy in a back alley.. er, actually im sure he's a virginal nerd whose on the internet far too much and thinks he and his "anonymous" cronies are gonna change the world by showing up wearing masks of a lame movie that a handful of people remember..

  • nice guy..WTG TOM

consider that it's possible that I would share that view if I acquired the information and understanding that others have.

I still appreciate that you took the time to respond to me.

"If you think Scientology is the epitome of universal evil"

It is not, but it has the potential to become pretty bad if left alone. And for the individual people caught up in it against their will, it is the most important issue.

That is fine, but I don't want to go there before we both have an understanding of the underlying facts and understand each others' arguments.

When I encounter a view or position I don't immediately agree with, I still

a position that you'll never change your opinion, and that you don't want to convince anyone either, seems to be equal to saying "I don't care if I'm wrong" or perhaps even "I know I'm wrong". I agree that we might end up in a place where we have to agree to disagree, but I think it's too soon to go there before we've even discussed the issues.

We might discuss something relating to certain

"I take time to reply because I think it's important to participate, but for me the discussion ends here since I've already stated my point and I don't intend to convince you of anything"

I believe that an honest discussion needs both the willingness to be convinced and to convince others. Taking

"he's a generous and kind man, who participates in many charities, some of which have nothing to do with Scientology, and does not advertise his charitable work"

He does advertise his charitable work, and that is fine, as long as it isn't harmful and deceptive like his Scientology "detoxification" project, for example. Tom Cruise isn't the devil, I understand that, even if he wants to eradicate certain people.
