That suks but the line is now abandoned I bet

Im modeling the two locomotives and the rest of the train for my HO gauge layout. In order the train is a U18B in the lead, a mock up cabless unit made from a flat car, a GP30 High Hood( the one in the weeds), a mock up tanker car, a log flat car, two boxcars, and a hopper car. Great Video!

@Wonkawillie77 : Isn't Hollywood made up of all those tree-hugging liberals who say we have to live lkike they say and not mess up the planet? Yet they leave a train wreck there.... Hmmmm....

Believe me, Hollywood doesn't do any clean up or anything like it unless YOU make them. I worked on the movie "Ironweed" and the producers were a pain in the ass! I would be happy to tell you the whole stroy if you want to know.

@1971Copperhead1968 just west of Dillsboro, NC
The Fugitive wreck scene was filmed just west of Dillsboro, NC on what used to be the Murphy Branch, owned by the Southern Railway. This part of the line is now owned & operated by the Great Smokey Mountains Railroad, who run passenger excursions from Bryson City, NC to Dillsboro. From what I know, the wreck scene is one of the highlights of the excursion.

This is weary rare and interesting. they must simply have forgot all about this material since it was never cleaned up. Now this is almost a land mark. people should go visit this place. Amazing how bended the front end of that locomotive was. I have seen a lot of staged rail cross accidents were the train didn't get a scratch. even when wreaking buses.
