Finally, a clip with overdriven tones through the bright channel of my treasured `76 Hiwatt Custom 100 and a Vox Big Ben - one of the best sounding overdrive pedals on the planet. You might recognize the riff ;-)
I really like this guitar. It`s getting better with every playing day.

  • How would this compare to a standard?

and whats the wieght distribution like on it i know it has a chambered body so alot of weights on the neck.

I have a epiphone les paul non chambered and i don't like the wieght on it as i feel it weighs my right shoulder down so it affects my movement and playing.

  • @ad1170

It`s nicely balanced. Not neck heavy at all. And it is pretty light. About as heavy as my Strat which is medium weight.

The current LP Standard is actually pretty similar. Both are chambered. The Std has more cosmetics (neck + body binding, PU covers, Gibson logo, nitro finish with clear coat) and different pickups (Burstbuckers). I am not too fond of those locking tuners.

The LP Traditional is only weight relieved. It`s a much heavier guitar with a thicker sound.

  • How did you get that led Paul with that finish on back instead of dark.. I want that one but I can only find with dark back. How much was that one?

  • @dukenner

It was a Thomann exclusive model. The forerunner to the current darkback model. Price was 699 Euros. It also has a rosewood fretboard - not that weird toasted maple stuff.

  • how do u like the rc-2 looper?

  • @MOSKII58

It´s ok. A lot of features for such a tiny box. If you don`t need to save anything, you might be better off with a delay that has a looper onboard. I would love to have the ZVex Lo Fi Loop Junky myself ;-)

I really like it. First of all, it`s a gorgeous guitar that will age naturally ;-)

Second, it`s lightweight and easy on your back.

Third, it sounds great. Slightly more "acoustic" and hollow than a solid, non chambered LP. Cuts through the mix. Also, the thin finish lets the guitar resonate really well.

Oh - and the neck is as dream. Just perfect - fits like a glove.

And another thing: It stays in tune really well.
