These clips include a male ruby-throat hummingbird eating from handheld flowers and maybe the first time you have seen a hummingbird eating directly from a person's hand.

Hi, My numbers are up and I think migration has begun - it should be good hummingbird viewing for the next month or two.

  • Awesome. Is that a honeysuckle branch you're holding? I also make my own food....4 water and 1 sugar. We go through lots in the summer.

  • @nl881 - Hi, that red flower is a Subrotunda Salvia - google it for more info

  • I noticed 2 people have disliked this... seriously? How could you dislike that?

  • @IronDeath Hi, I don't always reply to comments and must have missed the ones you saw that disliked the video. I usually reply to comments that ask a question as the one above did.

  • You're like the hummingbird whisperer.

  • @russlouky yah thought so, but just wondereng, I live in Virginia and Hummingbirds mate and feed young and stuff where exactly? Just wanted to know.

  • we were wondering how long you had to stay still before the bird approached.

  • collllll

  • @BillyBones139 Hi, with the exception of the red store bought food I used to get the hummingbird to eat from my palm I have never bought food - I make my own because it is much cheaper to make your own - four parts water and one part sugar will work all the time - never use red colored food in a feeder - the feeder already has red on it and that is plenty of red to attract a hummer.
