The funny thing is that if you were to go to the webpage and sign up, then you'd have as much of a vote as anyone on the Unity08 Founders Council in regards to the party platform and who gets nominated for the ticket.

Unity08 will nominate someone on the level of Bloomberg, Hagel, Liberman, or Biden. Chance to win? ZERO.
But of course Unity08 has the money to "spoil" the election one way or another. Which way, Unity08 Founder's Council? You've my attention, now what?

"Conspiracy theories aside", nyprogressive will end up blindly supporting the Democratic nominee no matter who it is... It seems to me that LibDems are afraid their party will nominate another Kerry-esqe candidate who cannot distinguish his/herself from a moderate Unity ticket or a Republican. I welcome the change Unity 08 may bring!

THANK you I have been saying this ever since I got on their mailing list and looked them up - my guess? It's Bloomberg and Lieberman trying to recruit some top Dems/GOPs like Chuck Hagel. They won't win but they can swing the election one way or another.

Umm, you just stated the list of the Founders Council which is openly displayed at unity08 com/founderscouncil I think they are hardly 'hiding'.
IF (And thats a big if) one of their candidates actually makes it, there is no lobby trail like there is right now. But its really only to help issues that matter get into mainstream.
Do you really think it is only acceptable if farmers and single mothers raised the money to get it going though?
