  • Hey, I'm making the A340-500 model for a simulator (gears are similar to the 600) and I really wanted to know how to middle gear retracts. I couldn't see that clearly in this video, can you explain it?

  • @flymerlion well first the pitch trimmer brings the center gear at the same angle as the mains.. then it swings foward until it locks onto the uplock in the center bay.

  • @DaBushy Wait, so does it go it at 50 degrees or flat? I almost got the animation, but if it goes in without turning further, it sticks out of the door.

  • @flymerlion the bogie beam (axle) swings to a 50 degree angle.. then the gear itself swings a further 90
